Mission Accomplished: B2E represents Blue Bioeconomy made in Portugal at Aquaculture Europe 2022

With five key Portuguese companies and institutions on the sector, “Blue Bioeconomy Portugal” was the concept of the collaborative booth organized by B2E CoLAB at Aquaculture Europe, one of the biggest European sector events, held in Rimini, Italy, between September 27 and 30.

Egas Moniz Cooperativa de Ensino Superior, SEAentia, EntoGreen, INESC TEC and B2E were the entities very successfully represented.

As this year’s edition gathered more than 2 thousand people and 160 companies at the tradeshow (an increase of around 60% when compared to last edition), the commercial and scientific contacts were expressive and the teams involved believe that a lot of them will now generate new initiatives and collaborative projects.

B2E also presented a scientific poster in the scope of OmegaPeixe Project, untitled “Will Consumers buy fish enriched with Omega 3 fatty acids?”. In order to revisit the market’s acceptance of differentiated aquaculture products, a comprehensive consumer survey was carried out nationally and in the relevant European countries. B2E CoLAB went to AE2022 with a poster showing new results.

Besides the collaborative booth, the poster presentation and the event coverage by B2E team, there was also a dedicated Portuguese area promoted by the CoLAB, that included our partners Aquasoja/Soja de Portugal (booths 23 and 24) and Necton (booth 12).

B2E thanks all the partners, institutions, companies and teams that were a part of this initiative, in a joint national exhibition, and hopes to see you next year, in Vienna, Austria.
