Armona Fish Farms
Armona Fish Farms, the largest open sea aquaculture farm in Portugal, is the most recent associate of the B2E CoLAB. With a production area that includes two farms with almost 300 hectares, the project was born in 2019, through the expansion of Rota Grega’s business for aquaculture.
Rota Grega group is dedicated to the production and commercialization of sea products, such as fish and shellfish, fresh and frozen. In 2014, it created its own wholesale network that covers the entire national territory, with commercial infrastructures in Porto, Peniche, Lisbon, Olhão and Terceira.
Did you know that 45% of agricultural production is wasted before reaching the consumer?
Our associate EntoGreen has this desire of contributing to the development of sustainable food, focusing on the development of biologically based technologies that use insects enabling the reuse of nutritional waste that occurs in the agri-food sector and reintroducing them into the food chain, as an answer to these challenges.
