B2E signs Memorandum of Understanding with the Iceland Ocean Cluster

Envisioning our path for internationalization and always focusing on collaboration, B2E has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Iceland Ocean Cluster, whose mission is to “create value by connecting together entrepreneurs, businesses and knowledge in the marine industries.”

The key collaboration topics will be on exploring innovative solutions for sustainable and responsible utilization of seafood products and their use in biotechnology, without ever undermining the power of networking, cooperation and knowledge exchange in the Blue Bioeconomy.

Portugal is one of the largest codfish consumers in the world, this fish has a strong link to Portuguese gastronomy and traditions, thus sharing with Iceland a history of collaboration that may now be continued and boosted by pursuing innovative opportunities for both countries.

B2E is also collaborating with several other institutions and is a member of EU4Ocean and RISE UP, two global initiatives, the first focused on collaboration and ocean literacy, and the second on actions to set the ocean on the course of recovery.
