Aquaculture promotes health and guarantees supply of Omega 3 in our diets. The OmegaPeixe project aims at producing differentiated fish with a high content of Omega 3 in European seabass and turbot. For this innovative product to be viable on the market, a comprehensive consumer survey is being carried out internationally.

The survey takes 3 minutes to be completed and is available in five languages:

METHODS

35 pre-tests and a final sample size of 385 valid questionnaires.

Questions are simple, short and designed to assess:

•consumer’s willingness to pay for omega 3 fortified aquaculture fish;

•level of consumer confidence in aquaculture products;

•identify trends in fish consumption.
