B2E CoLAB “is proud to be part of the Inovamar Consortium”

General Assembly attended by the Minister of Economy and Sea

The executive coordinator of B2E – Blue Bioeconomy CoLAB, Maria Coelho, participated, this Monday, in the General Assembly of the Inovamar Consortium, under the Blue Bioeconomy Pact, a mobilizing agenda of 133 million euros that aims to change the paradigm towards decarbonization. The event was attended by the Minister of Economy and Sea, António Costa Silva, who reiterated the commitment to the path of sustainability through the sea and, in particular, the blue bioeconomy.

B2E CoLAB is part of 83 national entities, including large, small and medium-sized companies, start-ups and research and development institutions that make up the consortium of the Blue Bioeconomy Pact (PBA), created under the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR) and led by Inovamar. The overall funding is 133 million euros, 94 million of which through the RRP.

Within the various work packages existing in the PBA, the B2E CoLAB is involved in four vertical and one transversal, leading an innovative project that aims to create a Coproducts Platform, which is joined, as partners, by CIIMAR, ISEP, IPMA, UA and UMinho. The goal, as explained by the executive coordinator of B2E CoLAB, Maria Coelho, during the presentation of this vertical axis in the General Assembly of the Inovamar Consortium, “is to enhance the value of marine and freshwater coproducts in Portugal, creating new value chains. “B2E CoLAB is proud to be part of this initiative and is committed to contribute to the positive transformation of the blue bioeconomy,” said Maria Coelho.
