The Science Meeting 2024, promoted by the Foundation for Science and Technology, University of Porto, and Ciência Viva, promises to be a milestone on the national scientific calendar. This event, to be held at Alfândega do Porto, will bring together experts and science enthusiasts to discuss crucial topics for the sustainable future of our society.
One of the highlights will be the session with the participation of B2E CoLAB, in partnership with +Atlantic, GreenCoLab, and S2AQUAcoLAB, moderated by Fórum Oceano. This round table, titled “Science and Innovation for a More Sustainable and Healthy Society”, scheduled for July 4th from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM, will focus on the vital role of science and innovation in the blue bioeconomy.
Facing the challenges of a changing world, marked by population growth, technological disruption, resource scarcity, and global climate change, the Marine CoLABs – +Atlantic CoLAB, S2AQUAcoLAB, B2E CoLAB for the Blue Bioeconomy, and GreenCoLab – have joined forces to explore solutions that ensure a more sustainable and healthy future. These collaborative laboratories align with the European Green Deal goals, committing to technical-scientific innovation for a greener and bluer world.
