Blue Bioeconomy CoLAB joins the Jean Monnet Centre’s network of experts

Alliance aims to boost sustainable blue economy

B2E CoLAB has been invited to join the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence on Sustainable Blue Economy. This invitation reinforces the Blue Bioeconomy CoLAB commitment to advancing the sustainable blue economy and marks a significant moment of strategic collaboration between the two entities. “Inclusion in the Jean Monnet Centre’s network of experts is recognition of B2E CoLAB’s expertise and its active contribution to driving research, innovation and action towards a more sustainable future,” says B2E CoLAB’s executive coordinator, Maria Coelho, adding: “We are very excited to collaborate and to contribute our knowledge”.

The Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence on Sustainable Blue Economy, based in Slovenia, was created in March 2022 at the Euro-Mediterranean University (EMUNI) and promotes interactions in the knowledge triangle (academia-politics-society) related to the blue economy, both as it develops in the European Union and in its relationship with the Mediterranean region.

This collaboration with B2E CoLAB will allow for the exchange of knowledge between the two entities, fostering joint research, innovation and technology transfer projects. The aim is to amplify information about the importance of the Sustainable Blue Economy and create tangible actions to address global concerns related to the oceans and their preservation.

The alliance between B2E CoLAB and the Jean Monnet Centre highlights the power of collaboration between organizations that share similar values and have a common vision for a more sustainable future.
