B2E CoLAB Privacy Policy

B2E CoLAB for the Blue Bioeconomy (B2E CoLAB) is a private non-profit organization that began its activity in 2019 with the aim of driving a new blue bioeconomy, bringing together research, education, innovation, and the market – for a better and more sustainable world.

Your privacy is crucial to B2E CoLAB. This Privacy Policy aims to inform you about how we collect, use, protect, and disclose your personal information, in compliance with applicable data protection legislation, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. What is Personal Data?
Personal data is any information of any nature regardless of its medium, including sound and image, relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. B2E Colab is the entity responsible for processing personal data, which determines the purposes and means of processing it. 5. Personal Data Collected
We only collect and maintain the personal data provided by users. We currently collect the following personal data:

  • Name;
  • E-mail address;
  • Company.

This data is collected exclusively for subscribing to newsletters and communications.

Consent to the processing of personal data is obtained explicitly, freely, informedly and unequivocally. When a user subscribes to our newsletter, they are presented with a clear option to accept or refuse the processing of their data for this purpose. Consent is recorded and kept in our systems, along with the date and time it was provided.

Users can withdraw their consent at any time by clicking on the ‘unsubscribe’ link in all newsletters or by contacting us directly at b2e@b2e.pt. After withdrawal of consent, personal data will be deleted from our databases, unless there is a legal obligation requiring its retention.

  • Compliance with legal obligations: If requested by a competent authority or to fulfil a legal obligation, we may share your information with the responsible entities.

 

9. Data Retention Time
Personal data is only kept for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. In the case of newsletters/communications, the data is kept for as long as the user keeps the subscription active. After cancellation of the subscription, the data is deleted within a maximum period of 30 days, unless there is a legal obligation requiring its retention for a longer period.
