Concentric reactor for treating aquaculture waste

This system was developed to remove compounds from liquids and incorporates multiple concentric ring-shaped channels that guide the flow. It includes an inlet to receive the untreated liquid, a central container with an outlet pipe to discharge the purified effluent, a temperature control unit, a carbon supply system, sensors to monitor the liquid parameters, and a control unit that automatically adjusts the temperature, carbon dosage, and flow based on the data collected.

HUMAN LEAVING RESOURCES

Chlorella-induced cardiac enhancement increases aerobic performance in high-intensity interval training

Chronic intake of Chlorella improves cardiac function and aerobic capacity without causing maladjustments. In humans, combining Chlorella intake with short-duration high-intensity interval training (HIIT) further improved VO₂max, stroke volume, and cardiac output. These results suggest that Chlorella may enhance HIIT-induced aerobic gains through cardiac enhancement.

Algae management in freshwater and coastal environments

The water treatment system consists of a barge with a base and dome that together form an enclosure. Solar panels and wind turbines on the dome generate energy to recharge the internal batteries. The system also includes a gas infusion unit that removes water from the environment, oxygenates it, and simultaneously removes dissolved nitrogen.

MARINE BIOTHECNOLOGY

Combination therapies for mitochondrial and associated diseases

Therapeutic combinations, pharmaceutical compositions, and kits have been developed that bring together the best of nature, such as fungi, plants, and algae, and their bioactive extracts and derivatives, to create new pharmaceutical solutions with potential in the treatment of various diseases, especially those of mitochondrial origin. These formulations can be obtained through natural, biosynthetic, or synthetic processes, presenting synergistic effects and promising therapeutic benefits.
