AQUACULTURE
Innovative sensors identify microplastics in aquaculture sites
Developed by LEITAT, a research and technology organization based in Barcelona, the sensors use photonics, computer vision, and artificial intelligence to measure microscopic-sized microplastics, differentiating them from other natural particles that may be present in water samples.

Global Aquaculture Production Surpasses Ocean Fisheries Production for the First Time
According to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, aquaculture accounted for 51% of total global fisheries products. The FAO report includes a section on “The State of World Fisheries and Aquaculture” (SOFIA), which indicates that “fish farming, shellfish farming and algae farming represent 51% of the world total” of these products and “provide 57% of aquatic animal products used for human consumption worldwide”.

Method for correcting the intestinal microbiocenosis of fish to increase their productivity
The invention relates to fish farming and can be used to feed fish. A thin layer of feed is sprayed with the phytobiotic additive “Probiocid-Phyto” at a dose of 2 g/kg of feed and ultrafine zinc particles with a size of 90 nm, obtained by electrical explosion of a conductor in an argon atmosphere, at a dose of 10 mg/kg of feed, pre-treated with ultrasound in distilled water for 30 minutes at a frequency of 30 kHz. The result of the invention provides greater productivity and resistance of the fish organism. 1 cl, 3 dwg, 1 tbl.

LIVE MARINE RESOURCES
Mixed Collagen and Cyclodextrin Food Composition
A flavorful food composition is provided that effectively utilizes fish skin, viscera, internal bones, and the like that are usually discarded as waste, and from which the unpleasant odors characteristic of fish-derived collagen have been removed. A mixed collagen and cyclodextrin food composition is provided that is capable of increasing the absorption of collagen peptide in the human body. The mixed collagen and cyclodextrin food composition is obtained by mixing fish-derived collagen powder and cyclodextrin powder in a ratio of 8:2 to 8:7 and granulating the mixture.

Algae Compounds
The present invention relates, in general terms, to plastic compositions that include biomass or materials derived from algae. The present invention relates to a composition comprising or consisting of about 20-80% w/w of a non-algal polymer; Approximately 20-80% w/w of algal biomass or an algal-derived material; and approximately 0-20% w/w of one or more additives, wherein the algal biomass or algal-derived material is obtained from an alga other than Kappaphycus alvarezii or Euchema denticulatum, and a method for preparing the same.
The present invention relates to a fiber comprising regenerated cellulose, in which the cellulose is obtained from an alga, and to a method for manufacturing the same.
MARINE BIOTECHNOLOGY
Compositions and methods for culturing cells of aquatic species
Cells of an aquatic species expressing at least one secreted polypeptide that supports the growth and/or differentiation of target cells of an aquatic species of interest in culture are provided. Its use as a support for aquatic cells in culture is also provided.
