Beach or countryside?

Beach, without a doubt. I grew up on the beach and I’m passionate about the sea. I became a marine biologist precisely because of this passion.

Swimming or sunbathing?

Sunbathing if the water is cold like in northern Portugal.

Dog or cat?

Cat, I have two. But I love dogs and I can’t see one on the street that I don’t want to pet.

Netflix or YouTube documentaries?

Netflix, I like to watch series to switch off “overthinking” mode.

Facebook or LinkedIn?

LinkedIn, does anyone still use Facebook? Just kidding. I still have a profile, but I don’t log in.

Aquaculture or wild fish?

Aquaculture, of course, the best way to produce high-quality animal protein in the most sustainable way.

Meat or vegetables?

Vegetables: I can live without meat, but I can’t live without vegetables.

Coffee or tea?

Tea, I don’t drink coffee (no judgment, please).

Nori seaweed or sea lettuce?

Nori, I love it as a snack and in Japanese food.

Sushi or grilled fish?

Sushi? Yes, please! I really like Japanese food, but I eat grilled fish more often.

RAS or IMTA?

Both are good production systems when well implemented, but IMTA has a beautiful ecological complexity to behold.
