Tânia Almeida is one of the newest collaborators at B2E CoLAB, in the area of Innovation Management, and she accepted the challenge of answering a Sink or Swim questionnaire.
Beach or countryside?
I have the privilege of enjoying both. I live near the beach, but my family roots are in the countryside.
Swimming or sunbathing?
Sunbathing, with a book and even the sunset… restores my energy.
Dog or cat?
I prefer cats. I don’t currently have any, but I’ve had several. Their curiosity, independence, and lifestyle better suit my personality.
Netflix or YouTube documentaries?
I don’t have Netflix. Documentaries yes, but mainly on mainstream television channels.
Facebook or LinkedIn?
LinkedIn, I don’t have Facebook. In fact, I’m not a very active social media user.
Aquaculture or wild fish?
I consume both. But what I look for, above all, is that its origin is based on sustainable practices that respect the conservation of ecosystems.
Meat or vegetables?
Both. And even better if it’s a barbecue, with meat, lots of vegetables, friends, and laughter around a table.
Coffee or tea?
Difficult to decide… but I would say tea, especially fermented (kombucha). But I don’t forgo my espresso, or a cup of freshly brewed coffee after lunch.
Nori seaweed or sea lettuce?
Again, both. I like the sea flavor of seaweed in general, but I would say nori in sushi and sea lettuce in a good fish soup.
Sushi or grilled fish?
Grilled fish and a good salad… always tastes like summer. But, from time to time, I also enjoy good sushi.
RAS or IMTA?
Both are good production systems. But as a scientist, the concept and complexity of IMTA fascinate me, as it is an integrated biological system that, when optimized, is a good example of the application of circular economy principles.
