The Seafood Innovation Award 2025 is a leading initiative dedicated to driving innovation in the seafood sector. This prestigious award will be presented during the North Atlantic Seafood Forum, one of the world’s largest gatherings of the industry, which will take place on March 4th and 5th, 2025, in Bergen, Norway.

Organized by NCE Seafood Innovation, in collaboration with DNB, Pareto, Nordic USV, Invest in Bergen and the North Atlantic Seafood Forum itself, the award seeks to identify and recognize startups with innovative solutions that can transform the seafood industry, promoting sustainability, efficiency and technological advancements.

Participating startups will have the chance to win a cash prize of NOK 25,000 (approximately €2,123.13), but the benefits go far beyond that. The winner will also receive one year of free membership to NCE Seafood Innovation, two passes to the North Atlantic Seafood Forum in 2025, and three months of free membership to the Future Ocean Incubator.

Additionally, participating companies will be able to enjoy other benefits, such as:

  • Future Ocean Incubator:three months of free access, providing valuable support for project development;
  • Acapo assistance: help with trademark or patent registration, both in Norway and abroad;
  • Networking and strategy services by Annerledeslandet, promoting connections and strategic ideas for business expansion;
  • Graphic and design support by Artgarden;
  • 3D modeling, VR, and Spawn technologies provided by Nagelld;
  • Pitch video production by Sølvrev, with final materials made available to the winner and finalists.

This set of advantages makes the Seafood Innovation Award much more than a financial prize, offering startups essential tools to leverage their projects and gain international visibility.

The competition is aimed at early-stage companies that present innovative solutions to the challenges of the seafood industry. Applications must be submitted by February 10, 2025.

In addition to showcasing ideas to a global audience at the North Atlantic Seafood Forum, participants will have the opportunity to connect with industry leaders and strategic investors, a unique advantage for startups seeking to grow in the market.
