What is it about?

As a leading institution in the field of ocean science and technological innovation OmegaFish was a pioneering project in Portugal, completed in 2023, dedicated to production of sea bass and sea bream enriched with optimized levels of Omega-3 fatty acids, essential for cardiovascular and brain health. This project responded to the growing demand for healthier and more functional foods, aligning aquaculture production with the recommendations of The World Health Organization (OMS).
