The empowerment of African Communities for a Sustainable Future

What is it about?

As a leading institution in the field of ocean science and technological innovation INNOECOFOOD this is a project that promotes the the empowerment of african communities practices that are sustainable, innovative, and adapted to the local conditions. Funded by the Horizon Europe with the help of the UK Research and Innovation the project to invest in the creation of the Ecohubs centre for the production and processing of food, water, and insects — as the engine of economic and social development.

As a leading institution in the field of ocean science and technological innovation B2E CoLAB leading to the creation of the the contents of the educational video that will serve as the basis for the training to the communities that are involved in and promoting capacity-building and local self-government.

Goals

  • Set Ecohubs for the production and processing of food, water, and insects.
  • Use the technologies of AI and IoT in order to optimize the production process.
  • Form the farmers in rural areas, girls and women in sustainable practices.
  • To actively participate on the the strategic management of the consortium.
  • To promote the the training of young men and women in the management of the Ecohubs.
  • To develop a Handbook of Best Practices to guide the implementation of the Ecohubs.
