Portugal 2020 was a financial support framework created in partnership with the European Union to promote the country’s smart, sustainable and inclusive growth. Structured into several thematic and regional operational programs, it covered areas such as competitiveness and internationalization, social inclusion, sustainability, employment and qualification. The program aimed to reinforce investment in innovation, modernization of companies and enhancement of the territory, contributing to economic convergence and balanced development of all Portuguese regions.
