With five leading Portuguese companies and institutions in the sector, “Blue Bioeconomy Portugal” was the concept behind the collaborative stand organized by B2E at Aquaculture Europe, one of the largest events in the sector at European level, which took place in Rimini, Italy, between September 27 and 30.

Egas Moniz Cooperativa de Ensino Superior, SEAentia, EntoGreen, INESC TEC, and B2E were the entities successfully represented.

As this year’s edition brought together more than 2,000 people and 160 companies at the exhibitors’ fair (an increase of around 60% compared to the previous edition), the commercial and scientific contacts were significant, and the teams involved believe that many of them will now give rise to new initiatives and collaborative projects.

B2E also presented a scientific poster as part of the OmegaPeixe Project, entitled “Will Consumers buy fish enriched with Omega 3 fatty acids?”. In order to assess the market acceptance of differentiated aquaculture products, a comprehensive survey of consumers was conducted at the national level and in relevant European countries. B2E thus presented the poster with the new results at the event.

In addition to the collaborative stand, poster presentation, and coverage of various lectures by the B2E team, there was also a common area for the national territory promoted by CoLAB, which included our partners Aquasoja/Soja de Portugal (stands 23 and 24) and Necton (stand 12).

B2E would like to thank all the partners, institutions, companies, and teams that took part in this joint national exhibition and hopes to see them again next year in Vienna, Austria.
