With a strong multidisciplinary background in innovation management and extensive international experience, Maria Coelho has been with B2E since its inception and is the new Executive Coordinator of CoLAB, taking up her duties on February 1, 2023.

I am certain that, together with the B2E team, we will work ambitiously, results-oriented, and always focused on collaboration with the entire scientific and business community, never losing sight of a profound philosophy of service to society,” says the new Coordinator.

Throughout her professional career, Maria Coelho has gained experience in bridging the gap between academia and business in various areas such as R&D, consulting, innovation management, HR coordination, strategic planning, customer management, and project development in various sectors.

For CoLAB’s management, this change marks a new phase in B2E’s progression.

“It is a new cycle that is beginning, with new leadership and new challenges. We are convinced that B2E and its team will continue to bring unique value to the blue bioeconomy sector, fulfilling its purpose of bringing academia and the market closer together. Elisabete Matos, who has served as Technical-Scientific Coordinator for the past three years, will take on a new professional opportunity related to teaching, and is also expected to collaborate with B2E on funded projects.
