Systems and methods for fish volume estimation, weight estimation, and generation of analytical values

In some embodiments, an underwater camera system is provided to monitor fish in a hatchery. In some embodiments, a stereoscopic camera may be used to determine the dimensions of the fish, and the underwater camera system may use the fish dimensions to estimate the biomass of the fish within the hatchery. The biomass value and the rates of change in biomass value can be used to adjust the feeding of the fish in the hatchery. In some embodiments, the images captured by the stereoscopic camera may be used to focus a camera with a variable focal lens on a fish to obtain high-resolution images that can be used to diagnose the condition of the fish. In some embodiments, the images captured by a camera may be used to predict the movement of the fish, and the predicted movement may be used to generate various analytical values for fish monitoring.
