On June 30, at 2:00 p.m., the Pavilhão do Conhecimento (Pavilion of Knowledge) in Lisbon will host a national event promoted by the CoLAB Forum, with the aim of highlighting the impact of Collaborative Laboratories (CoLAB) on the science, innovation, and economic development ecosystem in Portugal.

B2E – Blue Bioeconomy CoLAB will be present at this initiative, which will bring together all nationally recognized CoLABs, reinforcing their commitment to creating sustainable, innovative, and economically viable solutions for the challenges of the sea and the blue bioeconomy.

With a dynamic agenda, the event will feature prominent keynotes, round tables with representatives from various strategic sectors, and a session of technological demonstrations, promoting the exchange of ideas and showcasing the work developed by each CoLAB. This date is also strategically aligned with the State Budget discussions, reinforcing the importance of public policies that support collaborative innovation.

For Maria Coelho, coordinator of B2E CoLAB, this will be an important opportunity to show how CoLABs are making a concrete contribution to the country: “Our participation in this event is more than symbolic—it reflects the consistent work we have been doing to transform knowledge into real impact. At B2E CoLAB, we believe that the blue bioeconomy is one of the major levers for sustainable transition in Portugal, and collaboration between science, business, and the territory is the way to get there.” Maria Coelho also reinforces the relevance of the moment: “Being together, as a network of CoLABs, at a strategic moment for the country, is also a clear affirmation of the value that these collaborative innovation models represent for the economic and environmental future of Portugal.”
