In partnership with B2E CoLAB, the Escola Superior de Saúde e Ciências Egas Moniz is promoting the course “Circular Economy in Animal Nutrition,” a certified training program focused on sustainable practices for aquaculture, to be held online in January 2025.
This 8-hour course will take place on January 14, 15, 27, and 29, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. With only 20 places available, it is an opportunity for professionals in the field to obtain certified training that contributes to the 40 hours per year required by companies.
Participants will have the opportunity to explore the use of insects in fish feed production, an innovative approach that promotes sustainability and efficiency in animal nutrition. This training is intended for professionals who want to update themselves on the latest sustainable practices and contribute to the implementation of a circular economy in the sector.

The partnership between the Egas Moniz School of Health and Sciences and B2E Colab reinforces the commitment to innovation and sustainability in aquaculture. This course represents a significant step in the certified training of professionals, enabling them to adopt practices that benefit both their companies and the environment.
The course “Economia Circular na Nutrição Animal – a utilização de insetos na alimentação dos peixes” is part of InsectERA’s Agenda for Business Innovation Mobilization, which is part of the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR) and brings together actors from across the value chain with the aim of exploring the potential of insects as bioindustrial tools and solutions.
