Blue Wink-E 2024 is approaching and brings with it a clear mission: to put the blue bioeconomy in the spotlight as a driver of innovation, sustainability, and growth. Under the theme “Choose Blue, Live Green,” this meeting will bring together some of the most influential companies and entities in the sector, including Sumol + Compal, Flatlantic, Sense Test, Wissi, TMG Textiles, and Sonae MC. It will take place on October 25, starting at 9:00 a.m., at the Infante D. Henrique Auditorium in Matosinhos.

The event, organized by B2E CoLAB for the Blue Bioeconomy, will bring together renowned companies and experts with the aim of defining strategies that promote the acceptance and appreciation of blue bioeconomy products, in line with the Roadmap for the Blue Bioeconomy, a strategic document for Europe.

“One of the great challenges of the blue bioeconomy is to increase awareness and acceptance among consumers. We need effective strategies to demonstrate the value and potential of marine products, both for the environment and for the economy,” argues B2E CoLAB coordinator Maria Coelho.

Blue Wink-E 2024 is part of an ongoing effort to build bridges between science, public policy, and industry, with the aim of accelerating the transition from a linear economy to a circular and blue economy. During the event, there will be round tables with experts, researchers, and entrepreneurs, promoting an agenda of strategic collaboration that can boost the blue bioeconomy sector at the national and international levels.

The event will also include networking opportunities, where participants can explore new opportunities for collaboration and discuss solutions that contribute to the sustainable future of the blue bioeconomy.
