B2E CoLAB is once again part of the 2nd edition of the Postgraduate Program in Leadership in Sustainable Blue Economy, promoted by the Politécnico de Viana do Castelo (IPVC), in partnership with the Center of Competence in Blue Economy. Applications are open until December 14th.

The program, which begins on January 8, 2026, proposes an innovative and interdisciplinary approach to the challenges of the blue economy, combining sustainability, technology, and strategic vision. The B2E CoLAB again ensures the Aquaculture and Blue Biotechnology modules, two key areas for developing technical skills and innovation in the sector.

With a hybrid and post-work model, the postgraduate course combines online classes during the week and in-person or hybrid sessions on Saturdays, allowing students from anywhere in the country or abroad to participate.

Developed in close collaboration with academic and business entities linked to the sea, the program prepares professionals to lead projects and teams in different areas of the blue economy, from ocean energy and marine biotechnologies to coastal tourism, green mobility, and the valorization of natural resources.

The 2nd edition also maintains the PRR Incentive Scholarship, worth 950 euros, awarded to trainees residing in Portugal who successfully complete the course within the established timeframe, within the framework of the Blue Design Alliance (BDA) program. According to B2E CoLAB, this is an opportunity to consolidate knowledge and foster blue innovation: “We want to train leaders capable of transforming scientific knowledge into sustainable and competitive solutions, reinforcing Portugal’s role as a reference in the blue economy,” emphasizes Maria Coelho, coordinator of the Blue Bioeconomy CoLAB.

The postgraduate course lasts one semester (210 hours, 30 ECTS credits) and is aimed at professionals who wish to deepen their skills in management, innovation and sustainability applied to the sea and ocean resources.
