The website www.pep4fish.pt is online.
B2E CoLAB for the Blue Bioeconomy is responsible for communicating and disseminating the Portuguese Pep4Fish project, developed under the Blue Bioeconomy Pact (BBP) and funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR). It recently coordinated the entire design of the Pep4Fish website and created its content. The site is now available at www.pep4fish.pt, allowing users to explore the project’s objectives, methodologies, and achievements.
Pep4Fish is an initiative that aims to explore innovative solutions to boost fish production in aquaculture. By 2025, the goal is to develop diets that increase the robustness of sea bass and sea bream, improving their resistance to stress and bacterial infections. Led by the ETSA Group, it collaborates with nine partners, including research centers and companies: AgroGrIN Tech, B2E – Blue Bioeconomy CoLAB (B2E CoLAB), CIIMAR – Interdisciplinary Center for Marine and Environmental Research, ITS – Subproduct Transforming Industry (ETSA); Seaculture (Jerónimo Martins), Savinor and Sorgal (Soja Portugal), Sebol (ETSA), and Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
In addition to scientific research, the project promotes an open and collaborative approach with industrial applicability, including significant investment in companies to increase the necessary production capacity. The Pep4Fish website allows visitors to learn about the details of the project, from the partners involved to the current results and planned future actions, providing a detailed overview of the progress made. B2E CoLAB, as coordinator of the communication and dissemination task, played a key role in ensuring that these advances were properly communicated and shared with the general public.
