B2E – CoLAB for the Blue Bioeconomy has joined the National Press Innovation Network – Casa da Moeda, becoming the first collaborative laboratory in the blue economy sector to be part of this platform, which includes more than 70 Portuguese entities. This strategic agreement marks a significant step towards collaboration and innovation between the two entities, with a view to exploring new areas of development and modernization.

With technological innovation as its current strategic pillar, the National Press – Portuguese Mint (INCM) created an innovation network in 2016, developed in partnership with national and international universities, research centers, and start-ups, which B2E CoLAB has just joined.

The collaboration agreement signed between the two entities establishes the mutual commitment of INCM and B2E CoLAB to collaborate in the joint development of Research, Development, and Innovation (R&D&I) initiatives, with the main objective of fostering synergy between the academic, scientific, and business sectors, promoting knowledge transfer and the development of innovative solutions. In addition, the partnership encompasses the identification of new techniques and materials, as well as the organization of forums and workshops.

B2E CoLAB is a non-profit association that brings together universities, research centers, and private companies, focusing on the blue bioeconomy. In the areas of aquaculture, marine biotechnology, and living marine resources, it operates in fields such as cooperation and collaboration with research centers, universities, and companies. At the forefront of innovation, B2E CoLAB advises producers and entrepreneurs on seeking and obtaining financial support, developing strategies and market analyses, protecting and enhancing knowledge, and communication.
