This initiative follows on from the organization’s core values, which are focused on excellence, innovation, partnerships, public engagement, and sustainability.
The plan, drawn up on the basis of an internal diagnosis, highlights B2E CoLAB’s mission to promote a culture of equal opportunities, with measures aimed not only at promoting equality but also at combating discrimination and harassment in the workplace.
“B2E CoLAB considers the principle of gender equality to be an essential condition for the development of its activity. Part of its mission is to promote the creation of highly skilled jobs, for all genders, that actively contribute to increasing the economic and social value of products and services,“ reads the plan, which also states that the promotion of equal opportunities is reflected ”in recruitment processes, in the personal development of human resources, encouraging their development and in everyday work practices.”
Currently, 73% of B2E CoLAB employees are women, including its coordinator, Maria Coelho. At the management level, composed of five members, women represent 20% of the total membership. The document also includes various strategies and practices focused on continuous training, equal working conditions, parental protection, work-life balance, and the prevention of harassment in the workplace.
The plan demonstrates B2E CoLAB’s commitment to ensuring that gender equality is a tangible reality, not only on paper but in the organization’s daily practices. This commitment is reinforced through the creation of a continuous monitoring and evaluation system to ensure steady progress toward the outlined goals.
