B2E CoLAB and FI Group join forces to speed up funding in the Blue Bioeconomy

The B2E CoLAB has established a strategic partnership with FI Group, a leading consultancy in securing funding and tax incentives in Portugal, to accelerate access to European and national programmes dedicated to projects in the Blue Bioeconomy sector.

The alliance stems from a clear complementary logic: B2E CoLAB recognizes in FI Group the capacity to structure applications in highly complex contexts, both at national and international level; FI Group, recently integrated into the global EPSA group, finds in B2E CoLAB the technical and scientific partner it was seeking to strengthen its position as a reference consultancy in a sector that is among its strategic growth areas for the coming years.

The collaboration brings together scientific expertise and funding capability. B2E CoLAB gains access to a network of industrial clients with the potential to adopt its biotechnology solutions, as well as specialized support in identifying opportunities and managing the administrative and financial aspects of complex consortia. FI Group, in turn, benefits from the scientific credibility needed to support and validate the projects it submits under instruments such as Horizon Europe, the Blue Fund, or Mar 2030.

From concept to application

One of the central goals is precisely to turn ideas that would otherwise stall due to a lack of specialized support into concrete projects. The model is based on the co-creation of applications, joint identification of relevant calls, mapping of missing partners, and mutual integration into consortia: B2E CoLAB will be invited to participate in FI Group initiatives whenever the topic relates to the Blue Bioeconomy, and vice versa.

Both entities also foresee joint visibility initiatives, reinforcing their presence in a sector that is receiving increasing political and financial attention at European level, where the alignment between science and capital will become increasingly decisive.
